Biography
Lunch are a post punk group formed in London with a reputation for explosive, crowd-invading live shows.
Lunch combine the raw aggression of IDLES and the glitching angular guitars of BLOC PARTY with the lyrical sincerity and wit of SOFT PLAY.
“Our music is high-octane, angular indie punk with a sound that pulls from gritty post punk, noughties indie and undertones of 90’s alt rock. Sometimes weird, always direct. We like to call the mixture Party Punk.”
Lunch is Mike (Vocals), Patrick (Guitar), Jonny (Drums) and Darryl (Bass).
The band’s latest single ‘267’ was recorded with the highly in-demand Ben Hampson (Bloc Party, DITZ, Lambrini Girls). This Autumn they reunite to record their debut EP, slated for a Spring 2025 release and supported by a national tour.
Having made their mark in the London and Bristol scenes and beyond, they’ve supported the likes of Courting, Panic Shack, Hot Wax, Stuck (Chicago), Pulled Apart By Horses and performed at venues including O2 Academy Islington, The Shacklewell Arms, Sebright Arms, The Old Blue Last, The George Tavern and in Bristol The Louisiana, The Exchange and Crofter’s Rights.
